We meet on the second Thursday of most months at 10 AM in The Potterfield Weaving Studio in Carnegie Hall, Lewisburg, WV. Our members teach floor loom weaving at Carnegie’s Kids College in July, and members meet on Sunday afternoons and some Thursday mornings to weave, spin, and practice crafts new to them. We’d like to see you join us.
Upcoming in 2026
June 11: 10 AM meeting in Potterfield Weaving Studio, Carnegie Hall
July 6-10: FAN members will teach floor loom weaving to two classes of rising 2nd-7th graders at Kids College. Students will be weaving wall hangings, scarves, or items of their own devising in this long-running Kids College program.
July 18: FAN Annual Meeting and potluck, 10 AM to whenever, at a member’s home. We will elect officers, eat lunch, and talk over our projects and plans.
August 12-22: State Fair of West Virginia: FAN members will demonstrate spinning, floor loom weaving and other fiber crafts, and teach kids (and all curious folks) how to weave on a small loom or make small felt ornaments. Our organization has been demonstrating fiber skills over 40+ years at the fair, and we plan for it year-round.
